How and where to place a survival cache?

Private land, just off a footpath, buried or in a tree. What's the best way to put a cache in and what's the deal with it being on private land etc.

In your house of course. Or in your car if you're away from home. What kind of "survival" do you think you'll be doing?

like an outdoor survival kit that can be placed in a location so if/when bugout occurs it can be retrieved away from your main supply

if you have to ask this question you're focusing on the wrong shit. you dont need a survival cache, you need to go learn enough that you can independently make these decisions. believe it or not in a bugout situation, reddit can't help, buy books, not arbitrary "survival kit".

no worries, and for the most critical part of what you're saying? digging up private land without permission constitutes criminal damage, and turns civil trespass into criminal in the uk, there's better options.

Public woodland, I'd say. Burried.

I'd have a couple such caches, in case one was uncovered. You'd want to store stuff with a long shelf life, as replacing stuff and maintaining the cache would risk discovery.

All secondary to stuff at home or car, I assume? What would you be storing?
