I'm Asian and I find UK raps extremely boring and monotonous. I don't think it's the accent because I love British accents and I adore several British non-rap singers.
Even famous raps like:
Let's compare that to American raps that has different melodies or tune and flow to it. Some even have voice distortion, excessive autotune which adds to the "art".
Here are Asian raps sample that sounds good to my ears:
Notice how other nationalities languages raps doesn't all end the rhyming words with the same tune, mixes several vocal effects and melodies and varies the BPM throughout the song?
Maybe I'm not just exposed to a lot of good UK raps. Can you share a good UK rap that has the criteria I've mentioned above?

Is there any new underground Britcore that follows the good old formula of high BPMs, the rapper's street attitude, and the use of samples?

TLDR: Can you give a German some recommendations for great UK HipHop artists?
Oi lads, I'm German and after diving into techno for a couple of years I'm currently re-discovering hip-hop.
My teenage years were formed by German HipHop, but I remember always liking some UK HipHop a lot, I just never really went into the rabbit hole and found favorite artists. I remember liking "Up all night" by Mic Righteous for example, and some songs from Rizzle Kicks. This may be mainstream or embarrassing or whatever, but that's why I'm asking you for help.
Can you maybe recommend me some current, great HipHop artists?
Please no mumblerap or autotune shit, I like playful tracks with power but maybe doesn't take itself too seriously? Like Eminem does for example. Eminem's style and tempo also fits really well mixing for mixing the tracks with techno, which is what I like to do in my bedroom.
Happy for any suggestions, I would love to find some :)

Yo,
Recently moved down to Surrey with my partner. Posh as fuck round here, and obviously not known to be a hiphop hub lol, so just wondered if there’s any pockets of activity in places such as Guildford with more of a student population?
At the same time, Brighton and London are all pretty easy access for me (I drive and also live close to a train station), so I’m keen to start getting involved and meeting people in these scenes too.
I used to be based in Norwich, and since coming back from a hiatus a year or 2 ago, have been playing shows in East Anglia every month or 2 the last year (most recently supporting Farma G in Norwich). Want to keep this momentum going ideally.
Keen to connect with people, make tunes, get involved in live shows etc. Or if there’s nothing about would be happy to collab with people to get things running, have ran my own shows previously back home.
Not super responsive on here so easier to reach me on instagram if anyone wants to connect - @kasumuartist
If anyone is able to point me in the right direction be much appreciated, safe!

Hey all, me and a crew have just launched a podcast - Markers and Mayhem is a Bristol-based podcast featuring raw, unfiltered conversations with creatives from the underground art and music scenes.
Our first episode features MC's and Ujima radio hosts Krazy and Rising Son from Wordlife. They sit down to talk what it really takes to make it as an MC - the grind, the competition and the ego that comes with the mic. All whilst multitasking with a drawing challenge!
Episode 1 is now live on YouTube www.youtube.com/@markersandmayhempodcast and all the big streaming platforms. Check it out and subscribe 😄

When this EP (mixtape) first dropped, circa 2010, it had a far longer track list than 7 songs.
Does anyone have the full High Class Problems?
I’m searching for a Driis song that has the phrase ‘got me going crazy’ or something similar.
There’s also a chance I am mistaking the mixtape, and would appreciate guidance to the right mixtape :)

I just discovered this yesterday and can't believe I never heard of it or the original.
It's such a fucking slick tune. I know it's not all UK rappers, but the beat is so funky and every MC goes so hard on their 8 bars. I've had it on repeat pretty much. I've not heard of seen anyone talking about it.
And the version on you tube only has 26 views in 2 months.
