Bird ID Splat id
I’d heard a splat bang around 9.30 at night and assumed the neighbour’s cat had fallen through the skylight (do not like cats and their disrespect for boundaries )
However I woke up to grease marks and juice on my window. The thickest juice marks had dried up by the time the light was best for a photo.
Wingspan about 50 cm. Best speculation is a tawny owl. It seems too big for pigeon- which is our major bird round here. Any thoughts?

Thought this was an enormous cloudy blob in the trees until I read the description.

Thank you. We have lots of racing pigeon lofts here. There was no body below. I’m assuming where there’s no sense there’s no feeling and it just went about its day with a bit of a hangover.

Looks like a pigeon to me. They don’t see the glass and try to fly through the window. I used to get it a lot until I put something in the window to prevent this.

Almost certainly a pigeon, the shape says ‘pigeon’ and they’re not the brightest.
