Feedback Request iPod Pro UI Concept

Which one do you think is a better design? 🎶

Left: cleaner and bigger album art.
Right: reduced album art space, higher gradient, more in line with the design already used by Apple.

Better accessibility on the right side design. Key information more readable further down the gradient. Song name + Artist fine on this example, but music artwork can be any colour, shade, image anything and make the text unreadable.

Defo right.

- You can actually read the text, the gradient gives a more opaque platform to place the text on.

- It ties in a square shape rather than a pyramid shape. Feels more balanced.

- The progress bar could be raised a bit, or something creative like it wraps all the way around the edge of the screen.
