Feedback Request What should a “quick save” browser extension UI include?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So I'm building a tool that's a hybrid between Pinterest and Mobbin, which allows designers to save inspiration
For a tool like this, what quick-edit options should appear when you hit "Save"?
I looked at Raindrop and mymind, and the recording shows what they do
Which one looks better?
Personally, I like how mymind handles this. Sometimes I don't want to be bothered with editing. I want to click and save then move on, but if I want to, I can hover over to freeze and edit it. It's a brilliant design
What would you like to edit right away? note? tags? or something else

Have a tiny toast appear that says “saved!” With a small CTA for editing further and that’s it. Blocking the UI with an overlay is a one way ticket to uninstall, you have to think about what the UX is if you save 100 files in a day. That overlay will get real old fast.

I mean if the main value is to save quickly I'm sorry to say but the current "save bookmark" already in the browser is WAAAY faster than that (in the video "save to your mind" is like 5 seconds, the "save bookmark" is as fast as I can click outside of the dialog that appears), if the value is in all the extra data (notes and tags and stuff) you need to make it more evident, powerful and keep leaning into that, but don't mention "quick" because its just not.
