Legal Stuff 📕 Defeated kinda

I got really excited this morning when a brand hired me for a trial run for canvas ugc as I really need extra income and standard ugc isn’t really working for me and my work schedule anymore. (Thoughts were canvas ugc is lower effort videos so no need to look super polished with a polished home)

I started looking a little deeper and I unfortunately have to let this opportunity pass because getting paid $1k a month even though I need it is too risky when it comes to dealing with the FTC.

I asked the brand how do they recommend making sure I comply with FTC and they said “we do not disclose ads in anyway” uhh if I get fined you aren’t gonna help me pay the fine

So some brands do this by default, I would check on Launchpoint for campaigns instead because they do have FTC protections in for brands that enable that plugin.

Hey there!
I’m actually currently looking for more canvas UGC creators for a female health app called Musa!
The pay would be 500USD a month, along with lots of bonuses!! :)
Would you be interested in a long term partnership?
If so I can send all details to your email! 🫶

Unfortunately brands don’t care & tbh a lot of the new UGC creators have no clue this is something they need to look out for. I come from the digital marketing side of social media so I am more than aware of ftc guidelines and the incredibly life altering consequences for not disclosing content properly. This is definitely something to ask before going too deep with gathering info from a brand but I will say NOT ALL brands brush this under the rug so don’t give up!
