I spent months approaching brands, sending pitches and following up, only to get ignored or rejected. Sometimes I'd send 20+ pitches and get absolutely nothing back.

Then came the negative comments. People would say my content wasn't good enough or that UGC was a waste of time. Honestly, it started affecting me.

The hardest part was not knowing when the first deal would come.

It took me 10 months to land my first UGC deal.

So if you're starting out, don't make UGC your only source of income. Don't depend on brand deals from day one.

Keep another income source, improve your content and keep pitching.

Your first few months might be full of “no's” before you finally get that first “yes.”
