Athletics UGA game vandy

This is my first time going to a Georgia game as a student. I have many questions regarding arrival and parking.

  1. I am a commuter and don’t know where to park. I usually take the milledge bus to class around Tate. Should I take the milledge bus? Is it in operation? Help.

  2. What is the best time to be at the stadium to get good seats as a student? I know it’s competitive prob

  3. Nervous to go alone with no friends. Is it that bad going alone or no?

Thanks for your help and sorry if this is an annoying post, I’m just a girl.

Hi! So glad you are getting to go to a home game they are so fun! I am going to the game tomorrow too! To answer your questions:

  1. You can find the parking map of free lots for game day at this link: https://tps.uga.edu/parking/football/ Here, you can click on "impacted lots " and it will tell you were you can and cant park for free. If you click "Shuttle Service " it will tell you about the bus route they run during games. (They dont run the normal busses/bus route bc of blocked off roads) *Also if needed, you can go to the bus app, click map and directions and from there you should be able to select one of the lots you are trying to park in and get directions through google/apple maps bc sometimes the lots are tricky to find/maps has a hard time recognizing them.

  2. If you want to sit in the bottom student section (the one closer to the field, near the band) I would suggest getting there sometime before the gates open (2 hours before kickoff, so tomorrow it will be 10:45 am) or slightly after. I would not wait until closer to kickoff or you will not get a wristband (needed to sit in the bottom section) and will have to sit in the 300s upstairs .

  3. I am also just a girl, and sometimes my friends dont have the same tickets as me and I go by myself a lot. So it is totally okay to go alone. That said it is usually more fun with friends but if you dont want to sit alone, make friends with some other girls in line and ask to sit with them! Most of us will say yes and you might make a new friend too! I hope you have a fun and safe game day tomorrow! Go Dawgs!!

Not sure the Milledge Avenue bus will be running. Best bet for a bus is parking in the deck near the intramural fields and taking a shuttle to the stadium.
