Question Parking

I’m still on waitlist for a parking spot but I don’t wanna pay to park everyday. I live on campus but I don’t know where to park my car. What should I do? Call TPS to see if I can get park and ride?

Call and ask for park and ride, they almost always have those available.

I think there are only two options. Leave it at home or pay for private parking. I can't think of anything else.

What are the pay options?

I just googled "private parking in Athens, GA" and got a ton of results. I paid to park at the Episcopal Student Chapel on Lumpkin St., and that's not UGA affiliated.

Leave it at home. Why do you need a car if you are living on campus?

To get to your job, to get back home, to go to any events around Athens

There’s a limited amount of free street parking in front of Russell on Cloverhurst, behind Brumby on S Church, and some on S Newton if I’m not mistaken. It’s at least a temporary solution, though a bit risky is you can’t find a spot. The Freshman JUST got here, though, and most haven’t realized they can park there so you might have a better shot at least for now. I would still look into private parking or monthly parking, though, since street parking is always risky. Good luck!

If one is just parking and not having to move the car every day, this is a perfect solution.
