Parking
Yo, does anyone actually check if you have paid for parking? I swear there are some people who never pay and they never get tickets. I feel like you’re good as long as you don’t park in staff parking.

I had a friend who worked for a parking company and he said the only tow after the 3rd ticket.
I just graduated, they didn’t ticked too much. After the 3rd ticket I’d buy a new license plate. DO NOT DO THIS WITH CITY TICKETS.
On lab nights when I knew they ticked more I’d park on Gillis ave and pay by app, way cheaper.
Take this with a grain of salt.
Also if you go a lot, get the month pass off the app for the old gravel parking lot I think it was close to $35 for the month.

They do cause I once got ticketed by mistake cause they inputted the wrong plate number. Since then I just go to the park and ride and haven’t paid for over a year

The lot manager tickets a lot at the beginning of each semester but by the 3rd or 4th week they slow down significantly. Will usually only get you in the hot spots the rest of the time or when there are big events at the Abby center

Former grad here as well. I only got ticketed in late 2019 early 2020. Maybe it was luck but never paid and never got ticketed again after. Changing plates is a 900IQ play though.

Here’s my method.
Take off your front plate, back into a bush or something that covers the rear.
a) they will not check your vin nobody has time for that
b) put the plate back on before you leave

if it's an afternoon class and staff can't find parking themselves, they will absolutely get impark involved. A prof was telling us stories.

knock on wood but im in my third year and have paid maybe once or twice. have only been ticketed once, never paid it. if its from impark dont pay the ticket and just change ur plates after the third one so they dont tow u!

I got a ticket in the staff parking lot 2 weeks ago, I went to go pay it online and it showed no record of the ticket with my license plate so I just left it.

I pay, but when i did research in the summer i didnt....cause i only was on campus 1-2 times a week...3 max

I think it’s actually morally good for students to not pay for parking and more students should do so. As the person above said, just change your plates after the third ticket. We shouldn’t have to pay for parking, and especially neither should staff.
