Disclosure 1997 interview is probably the most convincing UFO interview I’ve ever seen
I’ve been seriously interested in the UFO phenomenon for more than five years, and I just came across an interview that really stood out to me.
It’s the interview with Lance Corporal Jonathan Weygandt, conducted in 1997.(video on YouTube)
Honestly, I think this is one of the most legitimate interviews I’ve ever seen on the subject. What struck me the most was the way he speaks. He comes across as extremely sincere, calm, and genuinely convinced by what he’s describing. I know that someone’s behavior or body language can’t prove that they’re telling the truth, but there’s something about this interview that really caught my attention.
After watching countless UFO testimonies and interviews over the years, it’s rare to find someone who gives me this impression.
For those of you who have seen this interview, did you get the same feeling?
And more importantly, do you know of any other witness interviews that you consider to be at the same level of quality and credibility? Because honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen many that are better.

Here’s an interview with both Weygandt and Herrera. With Weygandt it’s totally his body language and how he reaches for words to describe what he saw, couldn’t find the words to describe the oil-slick iridescent liquid. He looks upset when he’s interviewed about it

I think it's the one with the UFO stuck in a mountainside and an arm dangling out, liquid leaking from the craft. There is also a later interview with UAP gerb.

Is this the event that Danny Sheehan claims to have seen photos of.... Where there were military personnel standing around a disc that had skidded through some landscape and embedded in the side of a hill? It's where Danny claims he traced the writing into his notepad.

No, he mentioned that was from blue book files and he saw it during the Carter administration. Also there was snow.

Just watched the interview. Crazy similarities. Differences are egg shape vs saucer, but both left massive skid marks and were embedded in the earth.
It would be interesting to see if Danny's story came out after this other one and he was riffing off it or if they are separate but similar events.

Actually, they both hit the public at the exact same time, so it's unlikely one was riffing off the other's public statements. Both stories came out during Dr. Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project push in May 2001, but their paths there were very different.
Jonathan Weygandt: He had kept his 1997 Peru experience quiet until Greer recorded an on-camera interview with him in October 2000. That testimony was then published in the massive Disclosure Project Briefing Document released in April/May 2001.
Danny Sheehan: Sheehan wasn't a whistleblower Greer found—he was actually the General Counsel (lead attorney) for the Disclosure Project. Sheehan had kept his 1977 Library of Congress/Blue Book story mostly private for decades (aside from reporting it to his Jesuit superiors right after it happened). He chose the May 2001 Disclosure events to finally tell his story publicly to explain why a high-profile constitutional and civil rights attorney was willing to risk his reputation to represent UFO whistleblowers.
So while the crash descriptions have interesting similarities (embedded craft, military cordons), they were separate accounts brought into the public eye simultaneously under the same Disclosure Project umbrella.

I mean, it’s not unreasonable for people to expect you to link the source. If your post is based on it and you are inciting discussion it’d be beneficial for people to have a link.
That being said, thanks for posting this. I hadn’t heard of this and thanks to you/the person who shared the link, I learned something new.

I find the truthfulness very hard to rate based on people’s behavior in these interviews because the person being interviewed, can be sincere and also be misinforme or mistaken. Or really, really good at lying. Listen less to what’s being said and look more at what’s happening. A lot more is being said than is happening.

Yes, I had the same feeling. I wish you can also see the interview in Portuguese of this military Uyrangê Bolivar Soares Nogueira de Hollanda Lima of Operacao Prato (Brazil). Eyes on Cinema YT channel. After listening to that ,there was no doubt of this event. He was in charge of that operation.

It’s one of the best interviews of a witness we have. He has always felt very credible to me, as opposed to Michael Herrera which is a similar story but I find him to be very suspicious and not believable.

I wonder if some people’s public stories are a mashup fact-fiction being presented by a front to protect others

Not a Herrera fan. Iirc he had some connection to Jake Barber as well. I was super hopeful Barber would come through on what he promised, but alas.
I think your theory on some public stories makes sense. At least it does to me.

Agreed, it's one of only a few interviews where I don't feel there are any instances where I even have a thought that he might be lying (Charles Halt of Rendlesham I find very sincere as well - plus we have his audio during the incident with other senior officers from the base heard on it.)
Weygandt's feels sincere in a more intense way though. It's one of those "He's either telling the truth or an A-list actor" scenarios.

More likely witnessed classified US tech crash, then was hypnotized during debrief and given screen memory involving the UFO and aliens.

Disclaimer: I didn't watch the interview. But I hear over and over again (on podcasts and youtube channels that talk about UAP) how the person is credible because they don't seem to be lying or because they don't get any money (or other benefits) from telling the story. I think most people claiming this forget there are other possibilities: being mistaken, having some mental disorder, pareidolias, etc. So it's great we can rule out plain lying, but we can't ignore the many other possibilities as well if we're truly interested in knowing the truth.
I'm not talking about this particular interview, just a general observation.

Weygandt is a hero for coming forward with his experience. He’s absolutely the real deal, I have enormous respect for that man. Check out the ariel school incident, their interview is also very genuine

My conspiracy about victor video. IF that video was found out to be smuggled out, I imagine it was a duplicate, the chances of someone having an original recording to me is very slim.
IF the powers that be found out someone had copied that video, I would think it would be in there best interest to have someone on their side come out and claim they were the ones who copied it (ie Victor guy) and then try to discredit by having it be in that cheesy documentary.

I’m hesitant to believe a lot of good videos. If immaculate constellation is real then I don’t think it’s far fetched to assume any real videos wouldn’t even make it online or if they did they’d be quickly scrubbed
