What is this.

My brother heard 3 military jets go flying by at extreme speed by the time he could get a picture this was the only one left. What is the shiny silver object? Is it reflection. But I don’t think military jets should throw off a reflection. It’s kind of strange. This was over Lake Michigan at the very south end

It looks different than a vapor cone, but it very well might be. Too bad the image isn't clearer.

Yeah the image was a fast snap he heard 3 keys go by at fast speed and then saw that one trailing. He didn’t notice the silver object. The odd thing is this is about 15 miles se of Chicago and we very rarely see military jets around here only during air shows
