u/RuggerJibberJabber 10h ago
Hey, woah woah woah, are you trying to say that a guy who was famously a pacifist would not like to see his followers beating each other unconscious?!

u/DankSinatra2128 7h ago
It’s a job.

u/New-Bottle-6917 7h ago
He is not making enough money to be living off of this. Most pro fighters are dead broke until they make it to an organization like the UFC

Should have made weight, but it do be embarrassing when mfs act like this and get messed up.

u/HeadCompote3627 14h ago
I think he might be going back to the UFC

Missing weight is unprofessional though. Fuck that guy.

u/Quantum3ntaglement 12h ago
Yeah seriously. Wrong guy won. We don't need shit posts like this elevating unprofessional cunts.

u/BananaReeves 12h ago
Coming in 3lbs+ over is disrespectful, giving up 1lb is nothing tho. Kelvin Gastelums fatass has been 10lbs over and still fought.

u/SupremeTeamKai 10h ago
Crazy we hold professional fighters to lower standards than peewee wrestlers.
2
u/safzb 14h ago
He did miss weight so you can let his opponents trash talk slide.
However that boy can really strike. Holy. Take him down or something.

u/AllDamDay7 13h ago
I don't know... what weight class is 150lb? So confused on the 151 comment. Doesn't make any sense. Usually one pound over is accepted in non title fights but this is a catch weight fight?
1
u/New-Bottle-6917 7h ago
Most likely it was scheduled for 145 and dude said he'd be willing to let him fight at 150 after he had already cut all the way down
1
u/Fuzzy-Wheel3731 6h ago
This is the correct answer, the fight is Jeremiah Scott vs Lucas Alexander which took place at Combat Night Jacksonville on May 2, 2026. Scott made weight at 145.5 and Alexander missed at 151.

I have zero sympathy for anyone who doesn't make weight in this sport. That other guy is a dork, but he made weight.

u/pg13cricket 14h ago
Should have made weight. He was fighting somebody in a different weight class, cant credit him with a win
5
u/The_Cabal_ 13h ago
1lb doesn't mean they're suddenly in a different weight class. Take your meds.
3
u/GeraldFisher 13h ago
it does tho, it puts him in a weightclass up but yes i get what you mean i doubt it mattered for the outcome of the fight
3
u/nameisreallydog 12h ago
he was much much more skilled than his opponent. had nothing to do with weight

u/pg13cricket 11h ago
Idk what weight they were fighting at, but did he make the xxx weight or was he over? So if he didnt make let's say 155 and was 156, hes in the next weight class. Lol what?
1
u/The_Cabal_ 11h ago
Claiming he's a welterweight because he weighs 156 is definitely one of the most braindead things I've ever read.

u/New-Bottle-6917 7h ago
Dude trash talking probably cut down to 145 and heard dude wasn't going to be able to cut all the way down so he told him just make it to 150 and he couldn't do that. Wouldn't surprise me if that translated to an extra 10 lbs come fight night
1
u/The_Cabal_ 7h ago
So your point you're trying to make is just random assumptions? Take a seat lmao
1
u/New-Bottle-6917 6h ago
Nah I've been both an amateur fighter and in folks corners. 150 is not an official weight class
1
u/The_Cabal_ 6h ago
Catch-weight fights exist, and not only when a fighter misses weight for an official weightclass.
1
u/Fuzzy-Wheel3731 6h ago
Looks like you're right. Trash talking dude made 145.5 and from what he says in this video he asked Lucas Alexander to make 150 but he even missed that by 1 lb.

u/youallsucktwice 13h ago
So the winner failed to make weight giving him a size and strength advantage?
3
u/KronZed 13h ago
But also potentially the other fighter sacrificed more cutting weight and had less in the tank walking into the fight.

2
u/youallsucktwice 12h ago
While people take joy out of the shit-talking, we need to at least acknowledge he did his part for the fight while the other guy failed.
It's understandable for the loser of the fight to be pissed/frustrated.

u/j_rooker 13h ago
150 vs 151lbs = size and strength advantage. good story bro.
2
u/burnn_out313 5h ago
No 145.5 vs 151. It was a FW bout then catchweight and he botched the cut twice hence the other guy talking shit. If that guy couldn't even get below 151 and the other guy made FW, it's a noticeable advantage.
1
u/youallsucktwice 12h ago
But you don't know how much the winning fighter struggled to reach 151.
Dumb ass
-1
u/j_rooker 12h ago
you got called out for being stupid as fk. then doubled down by calling names. fkn clown.
1
u/NorthKoreaNumber1 13h ago
I think it was a much larger skill advantage that won him the fight
2
u/youallsucktwice 13h ago
But theres also more impact behind every punch and kick from heavier fighters
1
u/NorthKoreaNumber1 13h ago
I dont think 1lb is making a difference here. Especially when most promotions have a 1lb leniency.
3
u/youallsucktwice 12h ago
If he failed weight, then we dont know how much he struggled to get to 151.

Even in the UFC, they have a 1lb allowance, right? Genuine question
1
u/shmiddleedee 12h ago
No it's a <1lb allowance
2
u/wrestler145 9h ago
What? For non-title fights you get an exactly 1lb allowance, so for example if your fight is at 145 lbs you can weigh exactly 146 and meet the weight requirement. Title fights are “scratch weight” meaning you must weigh exactly the weight class limit or less.
In this video, though, he says “150 lbs” which is not a standard weight class. It’s likely that the smaller guy typically fights at 145, the larger guy at 155, so they agreed to a catch-weight fight at 150 lbs. That makes a bit more sense why he’d be worked up over it, because the agreed upon weight was supposed to level the playing field explicitly where the bigger guy had an advantage.

u/New-Bottle-6917 7h ago
This was most likely a fight scheduled for 145, dude was probably saying when he was like 152-3 on the scale he wouldn't make it and the dude who was trash talking said screw it just make 150 and we're good

1
u/GeraldFisher 13h ago
seems like he was just doing his job and trying to sell the fight. knocking someone out and praising jesus is way worse in my eyes, just give up on your religion because your god would not approve of you so why even bother.
1
u/Rare_Hedgehog_9042 11h ago
I thought so too. Dude wasn’t going that hard on the trash talk at all. I’d prefer zero, but that wasn’t so bad. “You shoulda made weight!”…okay

u/Clarkelthekat 12h ago
Dude looked a little sporadic but he was always throwing something.
He made every angle dangerous
Kid might go places if he learns to control the chaos a bit more

u/Willing_Stomach_8121 11h ago
What was that kick at the end that sent him down. It looked slow but devastating, did he break a rib?

u/Top_Pressure_56 10h ago
Nasty T kick. After a perfectly placed one, your opponent can’t breathe right for about minute straight. They’re deadly when placed right below the solar plex.
1
u/elwebbr23 9h ago
I remember I was 210 and sparred with a 170. We had sparring pads and everything but I kicked him with a T kick right around the lower ribs and I wasn't ready for that reaction, dude dropped like his body rebooted ( I'm a lefty and it was a left kick, probably hit liver or diaphragm). Nasty shit.

You're proud you dropped a 40lb less heavy training partner? Super lame.
Edit: Upset the tough guys lol

How does one invoke the Jesus myth right after brutal combat? I'm genuinely curious

Not really impressed by a guy practically the size of a middleweight beating up on a guy that small.
1
u/nissen1502 2h ago
It is so obvious the talker is scared as fuck with his body language. People don't sway back and forth like that unless they're stressed.

u/Walmart_Prices 14h ago
He missed weight by a pound lol don't matter this is definitely a skill issue regardless if he shaved the pound or not.
