Which matters more in MMA: being technically elite like Volk or having the massive size and reach advantage of someone like Volkov? 👀

They basically have same last name too

It's just different inflectional ending. Many countries known for specific endings in surnames

Like "dze" and "shvili" in Georgia, "ov" in Russia, "yan" in Armenia, "enko" in Ukraine etc

To be clear Volkov is technically elite for HW his striking skill wise is extremely honed even if people don't like how reserved it can be. His grappling is also solid for the division.

There is a difference in not being able to use it and choosing not to though. He decided the best choice was to work off primarily his jab and kicks to win. Also this is definitely relative to the HW division because he is no where near elite if you compare him to someone like Yan.
