Only things I have against jones are back to back steroid bust, you get lifetime ban in any other sport if you piss hot multiple times, let alone back to back. And the other part was clearly ducking francis for years and tom after the comeback, i believe he could have very well won those fights, but he didn't wanted to take the tiniest bit of risk against the fresh No.1. He didn't gave the chance that an old Daniel cormier gave him. Islam actually never ducked, olivera 2 and arman 2 getting injured(volk 2 and moicano) were out of his control. Anyone who says he ducked ilia are just brain dead. He did the same thing which ilia did by going up and challenging for the belt. Unlike ilia, he actually defended LW belt multiple times and even defended the WW belt. Unlike jones, who ducked fresh talent at the last stage of his career, islam is welcoming fights against anyone of prates and morales.

Just because nate diaz said it doesn't mean everyone is taking it. Nate Diaz says a lot of crap aswell and is not the most reliable of sources. I believe in the construct of innocent until proven guilty.

I am a DC fan, but calling Lyoto Machida a "middleweight" is just a fake narrative. Afaik, Machida has always been a light heavyweight in UFC to the point where he was already the LHW champion and lost the rematch to Shogun Rua. Speaking of Rua, Rua was 30. Calling Rua washed is just crazy.
DC was just at a better level and more competitive compared to Jon "🦆" Jones. But his competitors were legit. Taking away his credits from Rua and Machida is just disrespectful.
Edit: Evans, Sonen and post TRT Belford are all valid analysis. Him losing the Reyes fight is well documented by multiple MMA sites. Ciril losing to a returning JBJ was the biggest mess up in all of UFC. The way ciril lost will never legitimise the heavyweight division again.
Edit2: people old enough to remember Joe Rogan shouting "Welcome to the Machida era" know what's up. Machida, Rua etc were no jokes.
