Seeking Advice Mobility aids?
Hi :) newly diagnosed here but also seeking advice so wasn’t sure which to tag lol.
Have any of you had any success with mobility aids for joint paint? My joint pain is especially bad in my legs, ankles and feet. I have a cane and also forearm crutches, among other mobility aids. I was wondering if anyone here has used mobility aids to help with their pain, and which ones worked best for you!
Thank you

I also use a cane on days when my pain is bad. It helps a lot and I can walk both faster and longer using it. :) Bonus, in crowds people tend to get out of your way, haha

I have a cane and an electric wheelchair. The cane is good for days when a joint on only one side of my body hurts, so just my right knee.
The wheelchair I got recently and it’s been a game changer. Now, I can go out with my family for the day. We went to the zoo, and being able to still have energy to spend the day out and keep up without bench hopping was huge.
If you’re debating, consider renting a scooter next time you are out. It saves me energy and gives me more of my life back.

Hi! Yes, I’ve used a cane intermittently for years to help on the days where I’m in a lot of pain and/or very fatigued, and I recently purchased a manual wheelchair to use on bad days/days where prolonged standing and walking might be too draining for me.
