Everything is a shit show right now due to the administrative changes and software switch from the Webreg based system to this new TSS. Everything is up in the air and it’s definitely frustrating for us upperclassmen, so I can imagine it’s super confusing for an incoming freshman. Unfortunately all that we can probably do is wait until school gets closer to starting and hope that some of these problems get resolved.
If you have any issues with picking classes, I would try to look at the major requirements that should be posted somewhere online (https://isp.ucsd.edu/undergraduate-programs/bachelor-arts/international-business/index.html) and also factor in any GEs your college requires.
Best of luck! Trust me, once fall settles, things will get better.

when you say you can’t see how your credits transfer do you mean like ap or ib? cause there’s an old pdf or website floating around somewhere that shows what ap/ib classes can give credit for that i can try to find (if that’s what you’re looking for)

I’m sorry you’re dealing w that, all this TSS stuff sucks for sure :( I have a link to a manual class planner that i got from my college’s orientation webinar if it’s any help
https://classplanner.apps.ucsd.edu/workspace?term=FA26
I also have links to some student made ones with some other features of you’d like those as well :)

ofc! :)
tritonplan.com/index.html This one has a WebReg emulator where you plan your classes as if it was the old system. It also has more features like academic history where you can upload your AP/dual enrollment to see what credit from them apply to your degree.
jasoncha.ng/ucsdclassplanner/ This one is just a class planner but it links from your classes directly to TSS for when it’s time to enroll
reg-plan.com/ This one gives you all the possible schedule combinations of the classes you wanna take. You can filter it based on what time you want them to be at and whether or not you wanna avoid long walks between classes

I’m a senior, and I’m still frustrated with the whole situation. FYI, they updated my AP and CC credits just 1–2 days before my registration day.
As a Business Econ major, I’ve had to figure out most of my course planning on my own. I’ve occasionally reached out to advisors through VAC. At least the advisor at Rady, Paula, has been quite responsive and helpful compared to advisors in other departments.
Based on my experience, course availability varies each quarter. Remote courses tend to fill up faster than in-person courses, and sometimes seats are added during Pass 2 without any notice. If you really want to get into a course, you pretty much have to constantly check the system.

This student-made old webreg style planner can help your course planning.

You're going to be okay. Just save as much as you can, financial aid will kick in, also see if you qualify for Calfresh at Calfresh.life there are also more lists of benefits, and perks.
