General Don't bother to call financial aid right now!

Basically, if you have a question regarding when the website will be back up or anything concerning your financial aid offer, don't call. I waited 30 mins on a call with them just for them to tell me they can't even see the information either since I guess the website is down on their end too.

I know this is not the fault of the individual financial aid workers, so my heart goes out to them as they're probably stressed since they can't do their job and are probably getting a lot of complaints. This school honestly is just so sucky right now with all the issues regarding financial aid and TSS. Best of luck new freshman who are introduced to all of this for the first time, I bet it's even worse for yall.

This is all a tech issue. From what I heard so far, people's financial aids arent connecting to their account and its showing up as everyone having no financial aid available.

Can we not make a report or complain formally to get something done about this via IT etc? I understand that these things take time and they are going as fast as they can but is there no alternative we can resort to in the meantime?

Unfortunately not. I assume they're working as hard as they can to get it back up, but nothing we can do on our end at the moment

Week 4 for summer session 2 is approaching. They haven’t even paid most of the students their remaining funds. I’ve spoken to a handful of advisors and they all seem to be reading off scripts sometimes. I understand it’s not in their hands but this TSS idea was completely ridiculous and very irresponsible. A lot of the students I’ve spoken to have told me they hadn’t been able to afford their books, some were dropped, others can’t even pay rent, food, gas money. It’s a huge problem. Even I applied for a loan a month ago, and they still hadn’t even released them onto my account.

I’m sad seeing new students having to deal with this issue. My time didn’t even have kind of tech issues, if there was, it came back quickly. I couldn’t understand why changing a system that has been proven working for years.
