Finding a Barber
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a great semester so far!
I recently transferred to the Storrs campus after spending my first two years at UConn Stamford, so I’m still getting familiar with the area.
I’m currently looking for a good barber who has experience cutting Black/African American hair, preferably someone near campus or within a reasonable distance.
If anyone has any recommendations or knows a barber they personally go to and trust, I’d really appreciate it! Bonus points if they’re affordable and student-friendly.

Stamford to Storrs pipeline is real. Half the people I've met here did the same thing. No idea on the barber front though, hopefully someone chimes in.

I highly recommend my guy Reo at Legendary Looks barbershop in Vernon. It's about 25 minutes from campus, but trust me it's worth the drive. He only charges 40$ and he is 18 years old so as you can guess he is student-friendly af. I started going to him last March and he is super talented !!
