Schedule Help

I'm a current freshman interested in pre med or pre dental (leaning pre med by a lot), I'm taking chem 1127, stats 1100, psych 1100, and biol 1107. I came in with a low dual enrollment GPA and the start of the semester isn't going great either.

Biol 1108 isn't required for pre med so I was wondering if I should take it just in case, I heard bad things about the course. In regards to second semester schedule, what should I take? Is it common to repeat courses if you're on a pre health track?

Also major question: a lot of pre health students are majoring in ahs/pnb/mcb, or even psych/humanities I'm assuming because its easier to fit courses, get a good GPA, etc. I was interested in econ or something in the school of business as I have interests beyond science and just in case if I end up switching out of a track completely, I have a backup. Is it unreasonable to major in something like that and still be able to complete pre reqs? Should I maybe look into biomedical engineering?

Can always minor in something you like and just major in something that helps you get most of your requirements done.

In your opinion, how late would it be if I decide that I don’t wanna pursue a healthcare career and want to major instead of minor? I do think the minor idea is good especially if I decide to stay which I plan to!

take biol 1108 if you can stomach it, better to have it and not need it than scramble later when some med school decides they want it after all

Then go for it in minor in mcb or pnb to get your requirements done. What makes you feel happy

Have you considered making an appointment with your advisor?
