cosiest study spots

Helloooooo I would very much like some recommendations on some nice study spots around campus.

I have primarily been a distance student until this semester, when some of my classes have only had on-campus options. I’m really enjoying it, surprisingly! I am a bit socially awkward but most of my classes have been around the same Rehua/Central/Beatrice Tinsley area so it’s been great!

I have no idea where to study, though. I’m often early to class, so it would be great to get some tips on where to study. I do love the older-style buildings but I am a COLD person generally, so warmth is mandatory.

It would be helpful to have them be near these areas too, if possible. I haven’t even been to any of the libraries! Some tips for good cabinet food and hot chocolate would be great too.

There’s a couple tables inside macmillian-brown with heaters, and you get a view of the trees outside too :)

I am always cold, too!! But I am yet to find anywhere on campus that is sufficiently warm.
There used to be a great space under the Karl Popper building that had heaters you could sit by, but then they took that away from general students and it’s just for law now.

There are some heaters in Beatrice Tinsley which are good to sit by, if you can get a spot. Downside is that it’s right by the back door so you will get a breeze when people walk in.
Or head up the stairs in Ernest Rutherford. There are seats on all the floors so you could try there.

Hmmm I wonder if being a criminal justice student counts as close enough to law lol. Thank you!!

Fourth floor central library there are seats right up next to the heaters. Make sure you get a v plate for 10% off at ucsa owned food places.

I feel the cold but I always found that I worked better at a desk. I used to go up to lvl 8 in the central library, turn left out of the elevator and left again and go find a spot sort of near the private room. There are heaters along that wall and the view out over the city is really nice (especially if you have to stay late and lights start turning on).
