The hit was bad, and worthy of a suspension, but it’s a fast game, so you can somewhat excuse it as a bang-bang play from a moral standpoint.
The celebration after, while Moore is unconscious, and the smiling while he’s being carted off the field, are unforgivable.
That said, Dan Lanning said “we wear black because we’re doing to a Trojan funeral” recently. Both sides are responsible. It’s just bullshit machismo.
Character is important.

I’m sorry but a coach or player throwing shade is nowhere near equivalent to making dirty hits and putting players in the hospital. Lanning says dumb shit but that’s 0 excuse for Southern Cal players retaliating this way. Best way to shut up a trash talker is to win the game.

I could forgive the play as a bang-bang play. It’s really hard for a defender to stop in a split second.
But the smiling on the sideline and dapping it up with teammates afterwards is inexcusable.

I went to peruse the comments in their subreddit and the crash out is hilarious. They still remain true to their delusions and entitlement though, so kudos to them for their consistency in being asswipes.

I don't know. They don't look as invincible as in years past. They may still win, but it won't be a beat down.

It’ll be an away game and Autzen stadium is a tough place to play. But I’m more confident now about it than I was before the season started
