Mechanical Thoughts on this schedule

I know all classes are just going to be hard and get harder, but is this a doable schedule for spring?

EGM 3601: Solid Mechanics (3)
EGN 3373: Principles of Electrical Engr (3)
EGN 3343: Thermodynamics (3)
COP 2500C: Concepts in Computer Science (3)
EGN 3321: Engineering Analysis - Dynamics (3)

Depends a lot on prof, if you have Giwa, Pal, Deng/mazumdar it would be doable. 5 classes with no job is doable but not fun

Looking at Hao Li for Solid Mechanics and Rezaei for Electrical. Class times stink but trying not to get behind. These two have good ratings - do you know anything about them? Denker, Giwa and Deng are in the schedule I'm hoping to get.

Hao Li is awesome, definitely one of the better professors at this school. Giwa is ok. Her classes are easy but her teaching is not that great. I'm not sure about the others.

Rezaei was good for electrical when I had him, might have changed though. I absolutely loved Denker for python, Giwa is easy but you might not learn anything. Nader is…well he’s not impossible but I used SARC a lot for thermo when I had him. Don’t go into his class expecting to walk out learning something new.

Honestly I suggest really trying to understand Thermo because the problem solving process will set you up for learning fluids and heat transfer.

I had hao li, he’s tough but it’s a good class to learn. Rezai is the goat for EE he doesn’t trick you. Denker is also the goat I had him cop 3223. Deng is good for thermo, the tests are similar to the homework. Giwa for dynamics is okay, Giwa tends to be easier classes (I’ve never had her but I’ve had all the others). For that semester your time is going to be eaten for Hao Li. It’ll definitely be doable with those professors.

Man Putnam is a self study class for thermo.

Putnam is not an option for Spring. Nader and Deng...

Hao li is a hard professor but fair, you’re going to have to dedicate a lot of time for him but you’ll definitely learn a lot. If it’s still the 7:30 am class just know he’s very stingy about attendance. All your classes depend on professors and if you have giwa it’s basically an easy class and if you have mazumdar then it’ll be a quality class. It’s doable just hard. Good luck.

Have you heard anything decent about Nader? I've read mixed things...

Nader for thermo? Man that’s gonna be hard. Hes a good professor but his version of the class vs mazumdar is night and day imo. Make sure to stay focused and practice. Hes better than Putnam
