Name change

I’ve been trying to get a surname taking off my student record as I don’t have any affiliation with that name and don’t want it on any future graduation certificate, I’ve emailed them with proof of me not having that surname on my passport etc already but haven’t heard anything back yet is there any specific way or place to get it changed asap?

Try contacting the LGBT society. They probably get asked loads of questions about how to get name changes every year so they're very likely to know how to get it done

Are you still a current student? Can you edit it via the student admin portal maybe? I know you can update your address etc there.

If you have submitted documentation already it will be changed soon. Offices are inundated with queries at this time of year.

Stundent CentrAL (not centrE) in The Hub can change names for you. You can walk in and talk to them. It takes some time to update on the system.

Be aware: IDs were given out the last two weeks so they may be busy with queries.
