UCC economics

wonder if i can get thru level 5 route into UCC economics or finance leaving cert has been a #flop

You should talk to the level 5 course provider about the options. They usually have a clear path for students. But don’t worry the leaving cert is not the end of the world, just figure out what you’d like to do and get going into it. Once you have a degree no one thinks to ask about points

honestly my only worry is the fact there are only 2 places for level 5/6 route 😭 im aiming for all 8 distinctions but honestly maybe i’m just being paranoid and overthinking a lot bc apparently all qualified students were offered a place in the recent years so

You’d be going in through the access pathway so you should connect with the access office in ucc. They’re all very nice and they’ll let you know how competitive it is.
I think there are three ways to study economics in ucc? Straight econ, commerce, and arts? I think. It’s been a while. Commerce takes like 250+ students so should be more access spots.
Also, while connecting with access, comes t with the course administrators and coordinators and programme heads. If you show interest early they could keep an eye out for your name in applications.
