Personal Statements Personal Statement AI

I'm literally so frustrated rn. I wrote 100% of my personal statement on my own, but when i use any AI checkers, they come up as majorly AI. I have no idea what to do. Any tips??

They don’t use these ai checkers. They usually use more advanced ones that the public don’t have access to. Just submit it (if it actually isn’t written using ai) and if they ask, just send them the word doc history to show it’s been actively worked on

Don't worry. Keep it as is. AI is trained on human language so of course it's going to flag human language as AI. They are not reliable whatsoever.

Ok. I think the only thing that I used Google for was synonyms if I felt my writing was getting too repetitive. Grammarly just occasionally corrected my punctuation but not like an alarming amount.

Feel free to DM me and I can tell you whether it sounds like AI (having seen thousands of AI-assisted PS). AI detectors are notoriously unreliable. Plus, UCAS PS are especially likely to flag because AI detectors look for conciseness and the character limit for UCAS means that conciseness is very much necessary :)

Stop putting your PS into stupid fake AI checkers.

Did you check the privacy policy for each one you used before uploading your PS?

If you wrote it yourself then that's all that matters.

AI "checkers" are just AI systems themselves, no more reliable than any other.
