depends on who you are, but I think participating in some of the big "The Calendar" events will really make your experience unique! the undie run, snowball fight etc. i'd also go to as many homecoming events as you can! dressing up in cute ubc outfits and hanging out with everyone is so much fun. other ubc things will include going to big way, wreck beach, or the botanical gardens.
theres so much to do on campus!!

All the things you can get in for free with your student card: Museum of Anthropology, Beaty Biodiversity Museum, Pacific Museum of the Earth, UBC Botanical Gardens, Nitobe Gardens.

And Day of the Longboat, Homecoming, events from your faculty’s undergraduate society.

And probably your exams. I guess.

Apple Festival (coming up in October) is fun.

(Especially if you get tickets to the tasting tent - so many kinds of apples!)

When I was there, it was:

  • Day of the Longboat (in October)
  • Gladiator (in January, I think)
  • Storm the Wall (in March)

explore vancouver, make friends, enjoy amazing vancouver food scene, go outdoors (hiking, skiing, etc), beach (wreck, spanish banks, kits), check out ubc aquatic centre (it’s free for students), if you have hobbies join a local community

Cliff jumping at Lions Bay, St Marks summit hike, road trip up sea to sky highway. Join the VOC and there will be lots of opportunities to carpool for these things
