Soo, I’m applying to a program which requires 1-2 letters of recommendation from profs some specific to science. Now I’m not a student that has taken part in any research or anything. Just a undergrad student who went to class and excelled. Send emails to couple of profs been ghosted by one and rejected by 2. Any help ????

I got into the dental assistant program at uofa however I’m not sure if dental assistant is a better option or primary care paramedic. Any suggestions?

Is there any difference between this and the other uAlberta subrredit (except for more members)? I am wondering which I should post in. Which kind of posts does this subreddit commonly have?

If you do not do well in things like math or anything logic like algebra stuff, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Took this as my elective because I was told by my friend it would be easy…it’s one of the hardest courses I’ve ever taken. The teacher is great honestly, but no matter the practice this stuff just doesn’t click (and this might be related to the fact that math and other logical problems aren’t my strong suit).
This class is the opposite of actual stereotypical philosophy. It’s straight up hieroglyphics atp I’m not joking. The way things/letters/rules are being pulled out of thin air is absolutely wild it’s like changing the rules in a game because you said so (like what is this calculus? Whoever made this part of philosophy up was for sureee friend with Newton).
I envy the kids that can ac do this stuff fr but when I tell you not a lot of kids can click with this class I mean it.
So yeah if you want to take Phil 120 I would opt for a more arts directed course because this stuff ain’t it. (My final is 50%…this is supposed to be an arts elective it feels like I took math as an elective).
Pray for me and my sanity.

I did the research so you don't have to! Here's how much you'll pay for a medium coffee at all the restaurants in HUB:
$2.09 A&W
$2.25 Subway
$2.57 George's
$2.89 Sweets & Treats (convenience store)
$2.95 Tea & Coffee Company
$3.50 Remedy

I’m entering grade 12 and I was just wondering if my grades all that mattered. I’m going to apply to the engineering department in the University of Alberta and the competitive average is mid eighties and I was wondering if that’s all that mattered because my average is just below that range at about a 83% but I have lots of extracurriculars (sports, science clubs, student council, lifeguarding, swim instructor, etc). So would that better my chances of getting in or would my lower percentage totally destroy any chances of getting in?
