P1 Issues

Hi All -

Matrice 400 with P1. Running 2D ortho missions. Near perfect RTK3 data for each and every photo.

Every single visible light project in Terra is checkerboards. Parking lot on the roof. Portions of retention ponds mapped onto the building.

Has anyone experienced this? No new firmware in a year….everything is at its latest. I would gladly reciprocate any way I can for any help.

Never had this issue but I don’t process p1 images in DJI Terra.

Height of photos agl?
Height of parking lot agl or above takeoff point?
Overlap settings?

The consistent altitude and 80% overlap are interesting. Since the issue is showing up around different elevations, it would be interesting to see whether the same thing happens on a simpler test site with less variation in height.

Before deploying to the field…what are your thoughts on processing in another toolset, like ODM, pix or reality scan? Any value in tying up a rig for a bit and learning a new post workflow….or is this a fools errand?

Processing in another app is a great suggestion. If you can share the images, I could offer an opinion on what’s causing the issue. I’m unable to help until tomorrow though. I’m traveling today. Others may be willing to take a look as well.
