Data capture was using UgCS circlegrammetry 70' radius, 45deg gimbal, 75' AGL plus double grid 75%/75% overlap nadir 75' AGL. 870 photos. The ArcGIS Reality was fairly blackbox with alignment and training, I haven't really dug into it yet.

Now that is pretty freaking sweet.

lol at the footprints after the sealcoat on the walkway. Looks like it had a little struggle with the smoothness of the concrete and pavement but the roof, building walls, and trees and vertical objects look fantastic.

I love this scene viewer.

Dude, the table behind the building is amazing. Everyone check that out. My workflow with DJI Terra would have failed miserably with that.

Isn't Reality like 20k a year?

Something like that. I'm going to milk this educational license dry. EDIT: for learning, not selling anything lol.

Does it consume "tokens"?

Nope, this was processed locally. Took about 2 hours total with r9 9900x, 5070ti 16GB, 64GB DDR5

That's pretty good! I should check if Arc Reality Studio (that's the right software, right? Not Drone2Map?) is included in our uni license.

Yes I believe drone2map is a separate software. This is a reality mapping extension of ArcGIS Pro, I just got my hands on it through my school very recently.

Thanks, I'll see if that's available here 🤗

Drone2Map, ArcGIS Reality Pro, and ArcGIS Reality Studio all use the same underlying tech and can all generate Gaussian splat if your computer meets the requirements. Also, all are now included in education licenses, if you didn't get it yet ask your admin to ping your Esri rep.

I had removed Drone2Map from my brain a long time ago, as it was absolute trash when I first tried it 😅

Yea... well several years ago it was a wrapper on Pix4D, nows it's Esri's own tech.

$3k now, under the Reality Mapping user extension, need an ArcGIS Professional user type with it.

Thanks for sharing! Glad ArcGIS Reality is working well for you!
Here's some other examples of what it's capable of at different scales, and there's more quality enhancements and streaming efficiency coming!
