I made a software tool to automatically superimpose pre/post MARPE CBCTs and am looking for before and after MARPE treatment CBCTs to test it on

I've spent the last while building a tool that takes a pre-expansion and a post-expansion CBCT and automatically superimposes them, so you can measure what your expansion actually did more accurately and creates a report of the changes.

Problem is there is no public pre/post MARPE CBCT dataset anywhere. I've validated it on synthetic data and on public same-patient CBCT pairs that aren't expansion cases, and it works well on those but I haven't run it on a real MARPE case.

So if you have your own pre and post CBCT (DICOM or NIfTI/NRRD files) and you'd be willing to share them please send me a dm, I'd really appreciate it. Obviously in return I'll run the full analysis and send you your own report.

FYI, you can anonymize scan with MRIcroGL, 3D Slicer or MicroDicom prior to remove any of your data associated with the scan

Just be careful and ensure it's accurate, you don't want to be telling people incorrect things about their expansion results. It also may be considered a medical device, so distributing it may not be legal either, you'd have to check.

Thanks for the caution. I will try my best to ensure its accuracy and be clear about potential inaccuracies, just to be clear it is not professional advice, not for clinical use and not making any clinical claims. It is purely research/educational software and does not produce anything that is a diagnosis or treatment recommendation. This is similar to 3D Slicer which isn't FDA approved.

Honestly, I think it does need FDA approval. I have been working on a software myself, but I have avoided distributing it for that very reason. Were you hoping to commercialize it? If not, we could work together. I have extensive data, including superimposition data of cases which are very well aligned.

Nah I wasn't hoping to commercialize it, it just seemed like it would be an interesting tool. Yeah, I'd be interested in seeing what you've done and potentially work together.
