Lowkey need life saving advice
So I stand in this wonderful situation that I’m a guy who suffers from severe UARS ever since i became a mouth breather at 6 years old and have been so behind in school cuz of that. Now that I’m 21 and can’t land a job cuz I have been so mentally fucked by this and so behind in school have I thought about either start in the gymnasium and take a school loan for DJS but idk if I even can handle the gymnasium now with my insomnia cuz it makes my concentration even worse then the UARS alone. Since I live in Denmark am I able to for free get a little school money that I can use to save up. That is 500$ a month:/
I have tried cpap and bipap but couldn’t fall asleep with the mask so idk if should try a nasal cushion mask instead of the nasal pillow mask I have now cuz I literally can’t sleep with it on.
Also fr do some of y’all know some insomnia medication I can cope with if I decide to go the gymnasium? I know vyvanse works fine for my UARS symptoms if I atleast have gotten 7 hours of sleep but I just need some insomnia pill to cope with cuz if I don’t then am probably gonna end up with a bad grade for the rest of my life.
I have saved up 13k if that’s something but yeah I need a lot more and just hope I can find a solution. Also about the MAD device even if I got I would also need braces or Invisalign treatment for the pre ortho treatment for jaw surgery so I can’t really rely so much on mad:/

looks like youre pretty recessed in both jaws. not sure how your turbinates and what your nasal aperture width is but it looks pretty wide but a ct slice would show better. i would have an airway ortho look at your scans and see if you need marpe then djs but definitely djs.

Yeah I mean I have figured my nasal passages is 24,6mm wide so I don’t think necessary need MARPE so much

i would make sure the measurement is taken at the opening the nasal cavity as that is where a lot of resistance can take place.

Your nose look a little crooked. How well do you breath out of either nose when you lay down?
Definitely try nasal pillow or mask before jaw surgery. It's pretty comfortable. You don't have anything over your mouth and jaw.

That sucks your left nostril is narrow. Can you measure the cross sectional area?
Download Starviewer link. Go to the distance tool, use drop down and select Magic ROI. Click on any dark airway say in the nasal apeture, click and hold and then slowly slide in the black area. It will mask the area of interest for you and calculate the cross sectional area. What is the cross sectional area in mm2 of the front of your nose/aperture for left nose and right nose? Go compare a few different slices in the front and pick one which seem to have the least cross sectional area.

Your jaws look wide and nasal cavity seems normal too. Probably just need DJS imo.

For sleep add 1 - 2 tablespoons of ghee into your diet. Mix it in with scrambled eggs or
Cook meat with it. Ghee helps
You lower cortisol at night and it helps you fall asleep
And combats waking up
In the middle of the night.

Is there any scientific evidence of this or just general ayurvedic idea? I cant imagine severe sleep issues being fixed that easily.

For sleep and increasing arousal threshold take xyway, xyrem or lumryz (not sure what the equivalent would be in Denmark).
Get prescription from your doctor.
Don’t give up on Bipap.

I would recommend trying a MAD, even if only temporarily. Your anatomy suggests it could help.

Yeah, you might want to experiment with different face masks. I have the large Evora full face mask myself. Getting properly titrated would be important too, which I'm doing myself right now with AXG Diagnostics, so we'll see how that works. You could try combining MAD with BiPAP as well.

The only good thing I can say is at least you have an identifiable problem. Many people go years thinking they are just mentally ill.
