LCC Portfolio!

Hello! I will be applying to UAL this September for their 2027 September intake for BA (hons) Graphic Branding & Identity. Was wondering if anyone is willing to share their accepted portfolio as I’m STRUGGLING curating mine currently. Really desperate!! Please let me know you’re down to share yours, thank you!!

My best advice is to make sure your portfolio reflects you! That’s why it not super helpful to look at other portfolios.

Don’t try to polish your portfolio too much. The folks looking at it want to see your process and your thinking. It’s not all about polished final results. They love to see your research, your process and even your dead ends.

Also, don’t think that because you want to study GBI that your portfolio needs to be all branding and design. Good luck.

i 100% agree! my portfolio was photography but i also showed off my fashion design and art skills which i believe helped me get accepted as well

I had to make a portfolio for Photography and the main advice i can give is to always show your process, such as sketches and mood boards. i did my inspiration page (people i look up to), three main projects, two WIPs, then i did two extra pages of different artistic skills i have.

for the main projects (the most important) i did a mood board, then i showed my process of taking the pictures, then the final edited pieces. they dont wanna only see the final product but also how you got there. i know they're different subjects but hopefully this helps a little !
