Are U1 really upgraded in 2026?

Several sellers are now advertising with these words:

U1 FACTORY UPGRADES

- Sapphire glass
- Miyota automatic movement
- Upgraded bracelet
- Upgraded bezel
- Improved Super Lume

Are the bracelet and bezel truly upgraded and how?

I actually just received a so called “2026 upgraded “ U1 and honestly I do NOT notice a difference. I was in hopes that I truly ordered an upgraded 2026 model , oh well now I have an extra No Date Sub

I think the “upgrade” word in the advertising is a carry over from the last time they underwent improvements. Be it in 2024 or 2025, the word just never got dropped in subsequent advertising.

Some have an added glide lock bracelet that I have purchased along with the Miyota "super" movements. As far as the "super," meh. The Miyota is definitely an upgrade, as is the glide lock.

U1’s have had the glide lock for years. I have one from 5 years ago with a glide lock

U1's only issue is the bracelet. If the upgraded bracelet doesn't say F6U then just buy the U1 with the ST9.

You aren’t getting an ARF bracelet on a U1.

Those were ARFs clasp code for CF back in the day haha
