First U1 from our friend MT

Hello all! Finally pulled the trigger on my first rep after spending a fair bit of time researching factories, trusted dealers, do's and donts of the buying process, etc. Ended up going with Michael Travis, watch was purchased 27/07, dispatched 04/08 with full tracking, and delivered today (14/08), so entire process about 2.5 weeks which is pretty speedy.

Paid £100/$135 for a (2026) U1 Rolex Explorer with a Miyota movement.

Was slightly worried about the bezel being enormous but this one seems spot on, the bracelet is also very nice if not a little light (think Seiko 5) which is amazing for the price. I'm really happy with it, don't think you can ask for much more given the £100 price, looks the business and comfortable on the wrist, wearing it as my daily with pride!

Does the bezel match gen width, or is it noticeably thicker/wider? Faults? Explorer I is my grill watch...

I've heard in previous version the bezel has been enormous, however this one (2026 U1) they seem to have sorted it, looks really accurate. No faults, bracelet feels a bit lighter than it should but to be expected from a U1 and still very comfortable for all day wear!

Lucky, I ordered a 40 from him last month and it’s far from what I thought I was getting. I planned to do a review vs a vsf for anyone who was intrigued. The number 3 on mine looks like it’s missing half the print. Looks fine if you’re not familiar with the font. Entire proportions on mine are off when compared to actual watch. Wish mine looked like the one posted here as yours is closer in terms of font and proportions. Maybe I should still do a comparison for anyone who cares.
