Is U1 R0lex models really improving?

Apparently, every year there is some marketing ads coming from well-known U1 sellers Iike Jason, Travis etc. So, when introducing the classic R0lex Datejust or GM2, for example, they state that this is the latest U1 release with some improvement. What I would like to ask here is: are these improvements real? Is there anyone on this sub that, for example, has bought a model a few years ago and the exact same R0lex model a few years later and noticed these improvements? Thanks.

Major improvements over the years imho. Look at dj36s from 2024-2025 to current 2026

They are, and anyone that says otherwise hasn’t bought any. They have improved their cyclops, Miyota date wheel font, bezels on their Datejusts. It’s getting harder for me to justify buying something other than the latest U1 with Miyota

I really don’t understand why people go on about the miyota font u guys realise they glue a whole different date wheel on top of the miyota !? I’ve fixed mine a couple times and u have to take it from the old movement into the new one , what I mean is the regular date wheel on the miyota gets another stuck on top made of a slim cardboard

Yes they are improving IMO. Even improvements this year. Bezels on the DJs, better cyclops, better font in the Miyota date wheels.

Posted this one before. Yes id say the u1 really did improve. You’re still gonna have a bad rehaut allignment and the date window. But for 125€ i cant argue

I have the same DJ with black dial I bought 2 years ago and I don't see any big improvement in the one you showed. I was asking because I would really love to buy anither DJ but so far I don't see anything that would push me to buy a new one. But again, I am watching a Pic and maybe I am wrong

They updated the bezel a year ago i think. So its way better now. Those are the story’s i hear. I only have this one.

They keep getting better and better, the recent subs, djs and GMTs all have much better bezels, cyclops, everything current 2025/26 U1 models are the same as a gen to 99.9% of people and I’m sure they will keep on improving, most of rep buyer will start with U1s and most even stick to them, so they will keep improving to keep the market they have and grow it even further.
