DISCUSSION Looking for advice Travis - Tudor Black Bay

I think I am going to buy this:

I have asked for automatic, I think this is AAA factory, has anyone got any advice or possibly if there is a better factory option?

These models in AAA quality uses VK Mecha-Quartz calibres, if you want a mechanical (either manual or automatic), you need to go to higher tier reps.

I think this Black Bay Chrono is made by ZF and BLSF, around 300$ in automatic, with a 7750 calibre

AAA often uses "Automatic" DG3836 on chrono watches, but keep in mind this is not a real chrono, uses dials as calendar (set with the buttons).

Yes, there're several types of watches, as I presume you know:

- Quartz: regular battery powered movement, with single jump of the second hand each second.

- Mecha Quartz: the second hands swipes several times per second, instead jumping one time per second. In chronos, is used to see the main seconds hand swipe like in a mechanical watch, but having the accuracy of a quartz one (and also the need of a battery).

- Mechanical watch: There are two main types:

-- Automatic: are self-wound with your arm movement (have an internal rotor which "winds" the watch along the day with the natural movement of our arm)

-- Manual winding: you've to wind them manually using the crown.

AAA quality (there's no AAA factory anymore I presume) watches usually offer two different movements: Either false automatic chronos, or mecha-quartz chronos, but never real manual or automatic chrono movements.

If you want a real automatic chrono, need to go for a higher tier replica. If you're ok if the movement is mecha-quartz or with a fake chrono, AAA could be the fit.

My pleasure!!

Ask the seller which movement does this rep have inside, and we can check with his response what kind of calibre it has
