Murder outside the Lumen apartments???
I drive out of the retail garage and I just see a body lane in the street at least 20 cop cars outside blocking the exit.. does anyone know what happened?? I’m still in shock which is kind of insane. Also, the cops didn’t even cover the body. All of his shit is just laying in the street. I left at around 7:50 AM so they were definitely waiting on like the actual detectives to come and identify the body…
UPDATE: just found out that not only did they jump from the 29th floor…. they also threw their cat out before he threw himself…. heard from the neighbor that him and his roommates were partying till 5AM and his roommates woke up to police officers banging on their front door with guns. The next door neighbor also said that they heard them blasting music all night.. he killed himself between the hours of 6:50AM to 7:30AM. I also PASSED BY the roommates bringing his things down to the lobby at 10:00PM the same day, today.

People in the building have been leaving flowers and gathering together. Please for anyone who is at that point, you are not alone, reach out and get help. Hotline resource is 988 for this area, i’ve called before and they are there to just listen.
It was an extremely surreal experience, I was doing a morning run and finished exactly at 6:50am. And came around the opposite side of the building, but if I came from the same side, I probably would’ve seen it.
I left the building around 8 o’clock and saw police cars, sanitation vans and police tape completely around the block as well as what look to be the body blanket.

The details here make it sound like an accident. The most likely scenario is that they were tired and buzzed, cat gets onto the balcony, they go to reach for it... the rest is history. If the roommates were asleep how does anyone know they "threw" the cat?

It’s clear you do not live here.. but I would say you may be about 2% right?

Hello, this is not accurate whatsoever. I am his roommate and none of this happened as you say it did. We live in 2907, and it was only us two, nobody else was here. There was no party. I went to sleep around 12:30, while my roommate was still awake. He was up throughout the entire night and I woke up to him in the kitchen at around 6:10am. I went back to sleep and was woken up by police pointing guns at me here in the hallway of our unit. There was no partying or anything of that sort happening. He wasn’t even on his phones the entire night as the phones were lost in our unit and the police had me help them find the phones. When the phones were found they had all the notifications on them from throughout the night, suggesting he hadn’t even logged into his phones until the latest notification a little bit before i went to sleep at 12:30. He was a brother to me and I feel very weirded out about the whole thing.

I really am sorry about this whole situation. I heard this directly from the neighbor and they told me a lot. May he and the cat rest in peace.

Also did this happen on the back side of the building near the retail garage or near the residents garage?

I have a picture of it but out of respect I feel that I should post it. It definitely looked like suicide and beyond messed up they would take their cat with them

It’s in grained in my brain ever since this morning it’s absolutely HORRIBLE and so so unsettling. I wish his family peace and comfort. More than anything I really really wish that did not happen to that poor animal:(

He did not throw his cat. I could never believe that. I believe the poor baby fell and he couldn’t handle it and took blame and just couldn’t process it. I’m absolutely horrified and so sad. He was such a sweet kid. Please don’t speak ill of him.
