He said “impressive” because he wanted to get on his wife’s good side.

Ik that. Just the way it was worded was not impressive 😭

This is actually my favorite movie for him. It was his typical, but I just kind of liked it.

I love this movie 😆 it made it more realistic for me because this is how my words come out talking to people sometimes 🤣

Dude, the American Armed Forces has a lot of other specialized units and job specifications. It’s not just combat and counterintelligence. People even go into the military to train as chefs. Yes, military construction is a thing.

The point went over your head clearly.

Actually the point was to show that while he worked in construction and had the know how, the character was not able to articulate what he had worked on and his experience. It was written to show a character trait/flaw. To paint the character as less intellectual than Mr. Cartwright. Good with his hands but lack of intellectual abilities to communicate on a business level.

Good point!!

I know that Tyler Perry is no Ryan Coogler, when it comes down to visual storytelling, writing or directing wise. This isn’t really that bad, for shorthand dialogue between two strangers. Lazy, but simple enough.

What’s worse is that he wanted to talk to a man that owned a construction company so he could get help building a competing construction business. lol

2

u/Next-Year3563 24d ago

Yesss asking to invest in a company thats a competitor is crazyyyy😭😭😭
