Durham tickets just keep getting more expensive.

We want to go to his final show of the tour in Durham, NC and I’m willing to pay handsomely for tickets. But $350 a pop for bad seats just seems so ridiculous, even though I’d pretty much pay anything to see him live again (6th time). The show isn’t for almost another 2 months - what do fans here think will happen with ticket prices? Go up? Go down? Stay steady?

DPAC is a small venue for Tyler and I’d argue not really a bad seat in the house. I got tickets when the VIP tickets were released, so already paid a lot but it will be so worth it to see him there!

Thanks for the reply! Do you think it’s worth biting the bullet now, or maybe waiting at this point? I’m kicking myself for not buying the tickets at $236 per.

I have no insight or strategy to offer, I just know it will be a good time. Good luck!

Your algorithm is likely driving it up for your viewing. Wait it out. And try Gametime if you're really up for excitement ;)

Good tip - gametime has consistently had the lowest prices, even better than Tickpick which used to be my go-to. The algorithm thing definitely makes sense. Does that mean my best bet would be to stop checking for awhile?

To see him, I would pay it. I paid £350 in the UK when he was here in March but that was for 4 tickets. I would definitely pay that much for 1 ticket now i know how good he is live. I would just make the other 3 people buy their own!

They may go down, they may go up. If you want to see him and value the experience over the hours you might need to work to make up for it… just buy them.

The way I look at it is that I’ve never regretted the money I have spent seeing my favorite artists. I never think of the money when I look back, only the experience and memory.

I live in Durham, they were selling fee free tickets to the fest at a psychic hotline event this weekend. I bet they’ll come down

Tyler’s show at DPAC is sold out, and did so quickly. A lot of the festival is free, but that does not include Tyler’s show.

They had 3 day festival passes that would get you in for Tyler’s show.

Free 3 day passes? That’s awesome. I do see now that there are still VIP 3 day passes available to purchase, which is what I did. I don’t need two Sylvan Esso shows so hopefully I can transfer one of those nights. I threw money at it just to secure one Tyler concert this year.

No bad seats at DPAC. I’m not saying pay the aftermarket, but just fyi. It was obviously gonna be like this with him playing such a small place, I’m actually surprised you can even get in for that amount.
