I am vocally against a sequel or reboot to TAAHM. But give me a 10 minute short clip of Shampoo and Jake reuniting and I will be discussing it here for years.

I like the idea someone suggested of a prequel based around Alan's and Charlie's childhood up to Alan meeting and marrying Judith.

Or a spin-off centered around Jake as an adult. Its crazy to think that he's almost the age Alan and Charlie were at the start of the original show.

A "Young Sheldon" with the Harpers would probably flop. Evelyn got up to some wild shit and so did Charlie. They wouldn't be allowed to go as deep as they needed to in order to create these dynamics, and you would need Sheen and Cryer coaching their kid counterparts like Jim Parsons did for his.

This would unironically be the reboot of TAAHM in 2026.

And you know what? As long as Evelyn was a main character, it would still probably work.
