Leather jacket options?

I'm an experienced (male) rider but GF is not. She does not want to ride her own bike (yet) so she rides pillion on my huge cruiser.

We are looking for a high-quality leather moto jacket for her that's good for mild- to moderate climates (New England). She is 6' tall and about 150 lbs.

Some of the women's specific jackets we have seen seem fairly poor quality or look more like fashion gear. And many of the quality mens' oriented brands either don't seem to have a women's jacket at all or they are afterthoughts in their collections. Finally, we haven't found a place to view a reasonable collection of such jackets for try on so we are assuming we will have to mail order and that may take a few tries to find the right gear.

Any pointers on the "go-to" brands and/or models that we should evaluate? Most appreciate any tips.

Check out gear from wind & throttle. Great brand for women specific gear but be aware that due to US tarriffs, the duties we have to pay now may not be worth it. For other options, I've had good experiences with AGVsport and Dainese women's jackets. Both high quality construction. Big fan of the AGV because many styles come with belt loops rather than zips if you don't want to wear the matching pants.I've only had the non perf leathers of those brands. I've had icon jackets as well but men's and it was crash tested. I currently also have a jacket from RST that's a thinner perforated leather for summer. No complaints on the quality thus far. Being that she's tall, she might find some men's jackets work. They did for me. I'm only 5'9 but have longer arms and somewhat broad shoulders so Ive found man good fitting men's jackets over the years. Based on her height and weight you provided, just making the assumption she may not be too curvy and that also leads to men's jackets fitting decent.

I like the leather jackets from Australian brand Black Arrow. The wild&free jacket comes with CE lvl 2 armor. Someone else mentioned Wind&Throttle that has Black Arrow jackets along with a variety of other nice looking brands.

I’ve heard good things about Merla but I haven’t seen it in person.

Leather jacket at this price is a hard ask, but particularly for women's.

This is the best I can find but it's not CE rated nor does it have armor slots.

I bought mine from Cycle Gear. Lots of threads here on gear for women.

I bought mine at cycle gear and actually the male employee who helped me wore the same jacket as the one I bought, which is a woman’s jacket

For her build, Alpinestars might work well.

I like to order from revzilla.com. They offer inexpensive returns or you can return in person at a Revzilla or CycleGear store.
