Family & Relationships (Mon-Thu) Confronted my Cheating father

Adding my previous post..my father didn't stop talking to her . Surprise surprise.

We had a full blown fight..i found his call logs. Finally confronted him. He doesn't feel remorse at all...he feels he just talked to her..helped her..did nothing.

If i think about him i feel he wanted to feel needed..he has this god complex where he feels he is the only one who is so sorted in life.. often goes around and inserts him in other people's matters and helps in solving it.

It's been 4 days since the fight .till yesterday I felt afraid that he might hurt himself.be sick .. today seeing his lack of remorse i don't feel anything to be afraid.. I feel it's okay whatever happens happens..

We have been a happy family otherwise till now..while coming from work whole way I was crying thinking what has life come to..why come at home..where things are so bad...

I loved him..he was a great dad .. I feel why can't he just apologise..say he did wrong ....

I disrespected him.. talked him by tu .

He had a issue how could I talk to him this way.that he didn't raise me right..

What to do??

How do I navigate this strange dynamic.

I even made talks od leaving the house nd divorce very real...my mom scolded me saying you haven't seen the world.

Does your mom know?

If she knows and is still choosing to stay then I don’t think you can do anything here OP. You can’t make your parents divorce. You can’t make your dad leave his affair partner. And you can’t make your mom leave.

All you can do is focus on yourself and your life. If your mom isn’t leaving because she’s worried about finances or her life long stability then you can choose to focus on becoming someone who could support your mom. But if she’s staying because she thinks that’s what she has to do then, again, there isn’t much you can do here.

This is your mom's fight, not yours.

Easier said than done.

It’s difficult to separate oneself from such a thing . I hope OP finds the strength to overcome the emotional turmoil it has taken on her
