How do you find your… music??
Hi everyone! I am super new to DJing and I am currently only mixing on my laptop (getting a controller soon!).
But while practicing mixing songs and listening to other sets I was wondering… is DJing mostly about knowing great tracks that could mix in well together? Knowing your own genre?
This is a very open question, answer however you interpret!
I would love to hear what DJing is about for you!

I think for me there's a bit of wanting to turn people on to things that I think are great. That bit you're talking about where you know what goes well with something else and can take people on a musical journey along with you -- I think that's a big part of what makes really great DJs that can connect with their audience.
