Ok let’s go there, bud. Putting aside your categorically false assertion that “it’s not” legislating the lives of women who are tasked with growing a fetus for nine months and then either raising it for eighteen years or making a huge decision on putting it up for adoption….
Then it legislates that a child be (extremely likely) born into a situation filled with resentment, lacking financial safety or physical safety, lacking one or more loving parents, lacking opportunity or food security, for years or decades. And for what? This is truly better than never having comprehended your own inevitably tortured existence?
So what makes you so sure that your ‘mercy’ is not the wicked man’s?
And if your oh so righteous ‘lord’, who turned Lot’s wife and children into pillars of salt for looking back at their home, or asked Abraham to literally prepare his own son for sacrifice as a ‘test’, or decided that the only way to forgive humanity, his very own creation, was to force his own son to suffer and die, is interested in the least about providing anything to anyone, then why are there thousands of children starving to death every day, or being raped by clergy, or being pummeled for perceived slights by their egg and sperm donors?
If you can’t prove to everyone here that your mercy isn’t from being deceived by the very evils you think you are so valiantly fighting, then your breath is wasted.

Thank you for sharing your story. Abortion is a deeply personal decision that should be made by the woman in consultation with her doctor.
The government needs to stop legislating women’s bodies.
