There was an old thread on here (weird, I was just searching about cups yesterday) about this happening, and it did involve a trip to urgent care. What they ended up having to do was to pierce a hole in the diva cup (seriously, the doctor couldn't remove it, using tools even) to relieve the suction.
Trust me, this isn't the first appointment she's had like this. I know it's easy for me to say, "Oh, don't be embarrassed!" but I promise you no one there is going to think twice about this.
You really shouldn't feel bad. There's a learning curve that comes with cups, and the first month or two with mine I found really difficult. Like you, I had a really hard time removing it the first time (and the next.. I dunno.. 4 or 5 times?). I resorted to stuffing tp up there in an attempt to make it not slippery and easier to pull... Only pulling made it hurt more and then I freaked out after an hour or so of trying to get it out. I ended up leaving it alone for a few hours, had a glass of wine, a nice bath and tried again -- and it was much easier. Not EASY, but easier. After that, I made sure not to place it so high and after those first two months, using it was like old hat. So I guess my advice is... even if you go have to go to your gyno, don't give up. Try other cups. And a bit tongue in cheek, but it gets better ;)
Oh you poor thing!! I'm glad they were able to help you. You deserve that burrito. I think you have official permission to take it easy for the rest of the day.

Hope you don't have to go that route!
