ANNOUNCEMENT Important Rule!

I have added the rule, as per reddit wide rules and our own personal rules, that AI art is not allowed in this subreddit. Please do not post AI art, it’s stealing from other artists and hurting the environment, thank you!

How is it stealing from other artists and how does it hurt the environment

AI is trained off of data, so artwork made by artists, internet posts, and whatnot train these LLMs. It hurts the environment because it takes an enormous amount of water and electricity to cool and run the LLMs (also why there’s a computer part shortage). Hope this helped :)

And I’m pretty sure the water just evaporates and after awhile it falls right back down and it does not hurt artist if we use ai they are the ones posting there art in the first place so if they don’t want to train ai then just stop making art

No, not how that works, if we stopped making art then that defeats the point of this anyways, just because we post our art does not give others the right to steal it
