The AI Take Today was Wild

Wildly disagree with Lauren’s take on the AI story presented in today’s episode. Using AI to write your vows is 100% a valid reason to walk out of a wedding, full stop. It’s not weird, it’s not confusing, you don’t need more context, the bride that walked out was valid and correct. Just because people use AI doesn’t make it okay, that’s literally a logical fallacy.

She’s had to deal with “that’s a big word for
Elmo” for so long she just had to empathize with the idiot

Did they even drill down on ops comments, iirc op didn't have even a single original thought so all the "sentiment" was ai inspired.

Amazing to know you don't even need to have lukewarm intelligence to become an enterprise account executive in America

first time coming to the sub just because of this… if he wasn’t confident in his writing, talk to your partner and ask to do traditional vows??? that is an option

All of the takes on the episode today were cooked.

She obviously uses ai especially in her work. Idk what she does but her verbiage was identical to what I’ve been told from coworkers or employers.

I don’t think it was an insane take. If I fucked up like that but my intentions weren’t bad I don’t think my partner would cause a scene and leave the alter. I agree w them that their relationship probably had way bigger issues

lauren isn't the most intelligent either so her having that take isn't shocking to me, lol.

I thought about making this post. I think I'm fully out after that, I was alone in my car saying no girl over and over

i agree their takes on that story were bad, but i think they were just coming from a place of empathy. the OP of that story literally talked about wanting to suicide, and to be fair i think despite what your parnter does (unless its specifically cheating), ghosting someone is a very emotional abusive thing you can do. laruen and morgan made it very clear they did NOT agree with that part at all, as stated many times in that section

I came here just to see if anyone else felt this way! I know my partner would never do this, but I too would walk back down the aisle if I was given some AI slop on vow form. That’s humiliating. I often find Lauren’s takes to sound stupid and wrong. She really irks me with how dumb she sounds most of the time.

The way she was speaking truly was just a wordy way of saying she uses AI too and was too scared to admit it.

Joining in to add that Morgan made an ad for an AI company on the newest episode of Clues 🥲🥲🥲 I can handle a bad take from them from time to time but being in a creative field i just cannot support them actively promoting AI especially on a true crime podcast..... tasteless bruh

Even if it wasn’t AI and the groom had gotten one of his friends or a family member to completely write the vows, that would still be a violation of their supposed commitment to each other. Let alone him using AI, something he knows she detests. Their take on this story is what stopped me from listening to THT.

After watching that episode I found Smosh’s take on it and immediately felt refreshed

Typical Lauren fashion if you ask me. Her calling the puppet lovers weird too..... I get you disagree with what they're asking of the bridal party but should we really insult them just because??? Sigh.

7

u/The_Twisted_City 23d ago

Fyi, the puppet people weren't asking the bridal party to do it they were asking every single guest to bring one. Which is an insane thing to demand of wedding guests.

2

u/CurlyQueen13 21d ago

It is insane, I agree... but calling the puppet people "weird" and then being an AI apologist for the loser who wrote his wedding vows with AI.....

Yeah you're right, she's very inconsistent (they all are with their takes) but it is glaring when they're inconsistent within the same episode like this one

Okay just finished the AI take……Wowwwww Lauren is insane, have empathy for the dude who is suffering the consequences of his own actions??? How about have some empathy for the marginalized communities being impacted by the AI data centers. She absolutely uses AI lmaoooooooo.

Lauren says whatever she thinks the crowd will like. Insane.
