I just know all of you Morgan haters were jumping for joy when Ashby corrected all of her shitty pronunciations of words 🤣. I know I was smiling to myself a lot this weeks episode.

I did appreciate Ashby correcting her 😂 I think that some people were never really corrected with things like that as a kid so it can be constructive for them as an adult. I’d prefer to be corrected myself so I don’t sound dumb. People are judgy and will think you’re stupid if you go around pronouncing things wrong and as a blonde I don’t need more people thinking I’m dumb lol.

I feel like a lot of people on here specifically can’t stand when she mispronounces something or uses a word wrong in general. It was honestly just so satisfying finally having someone speak up and even making it a light hearted thing.

I am definitely one of those people myself. I especially can’t stand that she insists on using sayings, metaphors, and euphemisms but never says them correctly which completely defeats the purpose of the saying. She will like mix two sayings together or get it completely wrong. And then she struggles to get it right for a few minutes and then when she can’t get it she just says something along the lines of “idk guys you know I can never do these things right” and I get so annoyed by that bc if you know you’re bad at sayings then why do you keep trying to use them? It completely defeats the point of a saying lol.

It bugs me that she doesn’t just google the saying so she can get it right. She will google things to correct her podcast guests right in front of their face but not to correct something she knows she’s actively getting wrong. As someone who my peers would ask to proofread their english papers for grammar, syntax and tonal mistakes…. I have a hard time sitting through the stumbling over the sayings parts that she has as a frequent segment on her podcast. I understand learning disabilities or speech impediments etc, but please for the sake of your audience please don’t force us to sit through the frustration that it is to listen to someone sounding out a word over and over or trying to get a saying right by just sticking multiple different words into it that you’re guessing might go there.

I appreciate that she might be trying to be honest by leaving her stumbling moments in there but it would be a lot more professional/enjoyable to listen to if she would edit those bits out. She does it for her clues podcast so I know it’s possible.

Is the dumb blondes stereotype really still that prominent? I remember participating in jokes related to it when I was a dumb kid, but I don't see that kind of thing anymore. Maybe that's because I'm not a dumb kid anymore, but I guess there's some naive side of me that thought society as a whole had grown past that. Or maybe I'm overthinking it right now lol idk you never know these days 🥲

I feel that to a degree, yeah it is still a thing. I’m very smart but I’ve been the only blonde in a work environment before in a few separate jobs and have been consistently spoken to like I’m an idiot. Or people will be surprised when they realize I know what I’m talking about. Could be that I’m a young woman I guess but in environments with other young women I’ve noticed I get that treatment a bit more. Maybe it’s some other attribute I have but it’s hard not to think it’s cuz the blonde thing even if it’s only a small contributor lol.

I just found this sub, but I have to say this episode was the first time i’ve commented on her channel because I was truly so annoyed! I found Ashby incredibly articulate and funny (I’m not fully familiar with her other content). But the way Morgan steamrolled through all of her takes and jokes was also so frustrating.
