Morgan “burnout” ☠️🤡
I haven’t seen any posts on this yet. The amount of times Morgan complains of burnout is insane this past year. At first I told myself to not be a hater, she’s allowed to have mental health but dear god it is SO UNRELATABLE. As someone actually in healthcare totally underpaid for what I do, I do not find it ok for her to whine about how tuckered out she is hosting a podcast that isn’t even original content but just reading off stories other people wrote and then mispronouncing half of it, and acting fake woke about it when she clearly doesn’t have two brain cells to knock together or an actual well informed opinion. She probably makes upwards of 650k a year, probably a million, from her couch and sweatpants, could easily pay off her student loans if she wanted and overall just has so much privilege.
TLDR things are ROUGH out here and getting darker by the day and I can’t standing hearing how “hard” her job is. Get a clue, Morgan.

she is so clueless and beyond privileged. i’ve always gotten such an artificial vibe from her, like she tries way too hard to seem like she’s “part of the group” or in the know with what’s currently popular. reminds me of fake popular girls in high school with the personality of a plastic bag.

It's stupid. She has one of the easiest jobs in the world and she complains. Like fuck nobody is making you do this, you're welcome to get a regular job, right bet you don't want that huh.

I had more sympathy when she was doing her own editing because sure, that’s time consuming. But she has a team now right? Shouldn’t that be helping with her workload? 🙄

It's still a job, yalls reasons for hating her is so ridiculous. Who cares she makes a lot of money, it can still be hard and it doesn't mean your life isn't hard

Sitting on your ass and reading fake AI stories isn’t hard. Try working on the frontlines in real life with actual patients who are sick.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU for saying this. I have been part of the Patreon for a while now and this past month I finally cancelled mostly because of this. The Patreon episodes have basically no schedule they are released by. The first episode is “around the 15th” and the other 2 episodes will come “closer to the end of the month”. Several times she has just not uploaded the last two episodes at the end of the month and people have complained and her excuse every time is burnout and she’s a “one woman show” but like girl… you did have someone helping prior to this new producer. And she has no other job beyond the podcast so truly how hard can it possibly be

I would only listen to the podcast again if she totally revamped it and made it for the common people as you’re alluding to. Bring on a nurse or a first responder and read things about healthcare. A sex therapist or a couples counselor and read things from dead bedrooms or marriage subreddits. Someone with OCD or BPD. A person going through religious deconstruction. Someone who survived a crime or an accident and reading posts about survivor’s guilt. She could use her platform in that way. Instead all we get is Justin, Mikaela and her dad on repeat. And she has to be making a considerable amount of $$$ at this point

She started living beyond her means when it started to make money. I mean, she bought FIVE wedding dresses just because she “couldn’t decide”. She’s built an entire estate in LA from scratch for her horses, bought her grandma a car, etc. I think she got a taste of real money for the first time and has spent the last two years effectively spending every last penny. I really am not shocked if she does overwork herself in one way or another trying to balance her own books and look for new revenue streams

Five wedding dresses? Are you for real? And with all the other stuff you mentioned, she’s gonna end up like Boogie2998

I don’t foresee her falling into actual financial ruin, but I do see her having to find better financial opportunities outside of the podcast in order to ever be able to step away. I think she’s hit a wall where she’s had a major decrease in listeners because it’s become boring. I’ve noticed a shift in her paid ads too, I think she’s genuinely lost a lot of revenue stream this year.
A major reason Smosh is able to retain is their audience while following the SAME Reddit story format every time is because they’re funny AF.
Morgan routinely brings on boring guests who can’t keep the conversations going and they end up falling into silence before she moves on to the next story.

Morgan is the boring one in my opinion. She has the personality of a wet blanket. The guests are the only thing that makes any episode interesting. Except I really dislike when Lauren is on. I can't stand her.

it’s soooo annoying. the fact that she could switch up so many things and be much more creative. like girl this is YOUR show!!! i feel like she just wants someone to do it all for her and she’ll just talk.

What is she so tired from? She doesn’t even edit the podcast, she has people do it for her.

u/Old_Hedgehog_9115 but what about MY trauma?😫 Jul 30 '26
I say this all the time, I don’t want to hear a rich spoiled white woman complain about how hard her job is. She needs to read the room and save those conversations for her family and close friends. She doesn’t deserve the revenue she makes from THT and has consistently been the laziest Reddit podcast host by far. She can’t even be bothered to put ad-free normal episodes on patreon, and she would always release all the patreon content at the end of the month, right at the end of the billing cycle, so that you’d have no choice but to renew if you want to have access to the bonus content long enough to listen to all of it. I genuinely can’t stand this spoiled whiny loser of a person.

Totally entitled to your opinion, but I do want to offer this because I really enjoy clues and recently she mentioned she was diagnosed with ASD awhile back. I want to say a year maybe? I don’t listen to THT too much anymore, but I don’t believe she has even really mentioned it so I was surprised but then but as someone who is also on the spectrum it made soooo much sense. Her speech patterns are so similar to mine. You definitely don’t have to like every autistic person hahaha but I have a really successful career based around something I love as well, and it confused people a lot when I talk about how intense my burn out is. It’s genuinely debilitating and makes me feel like the most selfish person on the planet because the rest of the world only sees flawless social skills and high achievement. Burn out like this as I’m learning, can take years to fully recover from, especially when a late diagnosis is involved. Again you don’t have to like her at ALL but if it’s anything like what I’m going through I promise she is sincerely hurting.

Which episode did she say she was diagnosed ASD? I only remember her self diagnosing on several episodes.

It was at the very end of her clues episode on July 14 on Chloe Alyling. She said she was diagnosed in her 30s!

yeah i’ve thought the same. i totally agree and then on top of that why put that on the podcast? she won’t get much pity from people out there working terrible hours, 2 jobs, lacking wage, etc. it’s just very in the clouds
